Hey all! I am a new member so please forgive me if I am not posting this in the correct area. I did, however, do a few searches before posting and wasn't able to find an exact answer.

My truck is used now for daily driving and occasional towing. For example, this last weekend I towed a 2900lb chipper. It was slow going but it did fine. My goal is to make this truck into an overland/expedition/survival rig. While I will eventually be doing a small lift and all the other goodies I want to start with the things that effect it being a long-term reliable rig keeping in mind the goal of an overland expedition daily driver. While towing and backing up the chipper this weekend on some inclined terrain I got a bit of the hot clutch smell. All is fine but it got me thinking about starting with an upgrade to my clutch.

So, all that said, what would be your advice/product recommendations for upgrading the clutch to better handle the occasional towing and be a better heavy duty version of stock?

I have looked into Marlin, Exedy, and Centerforce. I almost bought a Stage II Centerforce but figured I should get some advice before I dove in.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Stage 1 is better then stock. Stage 2 is better but stiffer clutch pedal. It's up to what else you plan to do to the truck.
