I have the CBI aluminum rack. Love it. The only complaint I have is the space below the logo is kind of tight for sticking your arm through to get at stuff in the bed or to tie things down.

I haven't found anything I can't do with these racks. I've loaded them just to load them. They have mounting points virtually everywhere . Mount everything from A-Z . Plus everywhere I go I get compliments . Talk to Ben.

Thanks. Will do. I'm tired of putting on & off the ugly old TracRacs left over from my Gen2 when I need to haul long stuff. Those are still way too short for hauling 20' or longer lumber on my rough unpaved road home.

I'm thinking @KB Voodoo will be the route I go. Just placed an order for my tent annex and awning (deployment money FTW!) And have been trying to figure out what I want rack vs bars... Since I got the awning and such it looks like I'll need a rack for the height, but I don't want the tent too far above the roof.... I want my cake and I want it hand fed to me! Lol...

Dissent, that's a beauty of a rack (haha...) You got there. .. good work.

I've got a new bed rack design that will be available in a few weeks if you're interested. I'm waiting for prototype pics before I show them publicly, but I can PM renderings of you like.

First ty for serving . Mid height and a cab rack for the awning might work.
Or Cab height bedrack with awning on opposite side .

Thanks, least I can do to help those guys doing the real work ( I'm medical)

Never thought of that actually, only thing I can see is I ordered the fox wing that'll start at my annex and go the whole way around the truck so that might pose some issue.

Annnnd that's another rack I have to buy lol!

I have a mid rack for some things , but I use the talk rack mostly. I put the RTT and awning on. Your fox wing would work great. I used to use one but got lazy as it took to long to depot and retract for me.
The biggest concern I had was the drag on the MPG...can't see any difference tho.
You will love the tall rack for side mount options also.

Thanks for the input. I have a tendency to over research and analyze until I'm not even sure I know what I want lol.

How does the tall racks affect driveability off road, aside from the whole tree branch thing.

This is @Dissent86 looks like it's pretty capable.
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I've taken mine with RTT, kayaks awning and a tour bag upfront and no noise and handles great

    Thanks,
For the awning you are definitely going to want a tall rack!
I have had both short and tall and the only pro to the short rack is the lower tent height, other than that it really was not a good fit for my uses. with that said I am planing a mid height rack that will utalize my high rise awning mounts that may be a good option for you.
Feel free to reach out of you would like, I have ran a lot of different height racks and could go over some pros and cons.
