What up guys, just bought a Tacoma!!

Before I bought the truck, I obviously inspected the frame. A little surface rust here and there, but nothing major. But I know that eventually I'll have a problem. What do I do now? I can take care of most of the rust myself, being that I'm an ironworker, but why if Toyota is willing lol. Should I be getting something in the mail about the recall? Should I just take it to the dealer? PS. I just bought the truck yesterday.

Welcome aboard dude. If you can just wire wheel the hell out of it all to get it down to bare metal then spray it with some Rustoleum or some such.

I don't think that settlement will do anything for you if your frame just has a little surface rust.

You have 12 years from original purchase date to have it inspected. If a 10mm hole or bigger is found you get a new frame. If not then you get crc.

Yep. They hold a 10mm wrench by the hole, snap a pic and send the pic to Toyota corporate for approval.
