No I havent bought that kit yet but now I am really interested in it! I just use Signature Series but its been awesome and the oil hasnt given me issues yet! The filter does have to be changed every 15k miles but it filters down to 20 microns

Also if anyone is interested I am an Amsoil Preferred Customer so I get pretty good pricing on oil if anyone needs some. It'll have to be shipped to me but you can either come to my house and we can do the oil change here :D

"we can do the change here" magic words to me. How much is your oil change cost normally?

I usually just like helping friends out and dont charge anything but if enough people want to come and have me do it I would come up with something. Ive never been the type of guy to charge friends for stuff unless its something really big. But I also believe in those friends picking up a wrench and helping too :D Which is why I charge nothing.

I change the oil myself so its just my time and $92 shipped to the house:D And I change the oil when it hits about 25k miles and every 6 months I change it but its good for a year if I dont drive anything and am under 25k miles.

The whole kit is good for 25K? if so that comes to 3.68$/1k miles driven, whereas mobil 1 at 35$ for oil and ~5$ filter is 8$/1k miles driven.

I throw that out there as an objective comparison and as I have a decreased ability to do my own changes now.

Its not a kit its just the oil and the oil filter. Here's a link to the oil I'm using:

    http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...ature-series-100-percent-synthetic-motor-oil/

    http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/filters-and-by-pass-systems/oil/amsoil-ea-oil-filters/ - Part Number EA15K51

I also get about 25% off the oil compared to the price you see.

Sorry, i just meant what you order as a "kit" not necessarily a "kit" perse.

That said, how much lead time do you need for ordering. i'm gonna stretch this change to 6-7k since I wont get my first paycheck until mid october but I'm down to switch it then since the numbers make a big difference

Sorry didnt see the second part :D Just let me know when you are ready and itll take a few days to get here from Amsoil as long as its in stock which it usually is. I always recommend to order by Monday so it's here by the weekend.

Do you have a 1st Gen? If so we just have to get you the right EA filter.

Cool then I get look up the filter easy peasy. How many miles and how much oil does it take? Then I can get you a quote on how much it'll cost.
