Also because its the first time using Amsoil with about 100k miles on the truck I would recommend changing it within the first 15k miles and within A year. Whichever comes first per Amsoil.

Sounds good to me! Remember I am more of a "Teach a man to fish" kinda guy so you just have to buy the oil and we work on it together. I have an oil drain pan thats a portable container and then we would just take it to Autozone and dump it in the recycle oil bin.

 

Is there a fee associated with the disposal? Just asking the noob questions now

One of those heaters that burn used oil may be a good investment for the garage.

 

Nope it's all free they get a cut from the government for selling the used oil back. It's a 5x5 foot steel box all the oil goes in.

 

I didn't even know that was a thing

 

We had one in the shop when I worked at a bombing range it worked pretty well. Didn’t know it existed till I seen it.

 

Was it big and did it look expensive?

 

This one was but they do make way smaller ones for home use not sure of prices.

 

Free disposal at Auto parts store. Just take it in containers and they have collection bins
