We only have Taco Bell (or Toxic Hell as we call it) around here. We had Del Taco way back in the day. I ate at Del Taco all the time in TN when I was up there. I would definately say Del Taco is better.

interesting! so i decided to do some research...Taco Bell is actually international, however it never mentions anything about being coincides with Pizza Hut as they're usually found to be together. However, a fun fact is that the owner of Taco Bell is a former marine named Glen "Bell" whom passed away earlier this year in January.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taco_bell

both of these Mexican style fast food joints were founded in California, go figure! and the 4th Del Taco restaurant was founded in Corona, yay!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taco_bell

However, if anyone is ever in Corona, California, they should check out another Mexican style fast food joint called Miguel's Jr.

I used to work for the disribution center that supplied DT. They used dry pinto beans that were prepared at the restaurant. All beef, cheese, and veggies came refrigerated and were cut, chopped, etc in the restaurant. The only things they got frozen was their chicken and fries.

    DT FTW!

I grew up in socal and went to HS with the grand daughter of the guy who founded DT. Darlene was smoking hot! One more plus for DT.

Well there are not any Del Taco stores in Texas, that I know of. I sure as hell do not, and will not ever eat Taco Bell. Considering the fact that you are comaring the two, I'll have to scratch DT off the list too!

After Taco Bell was bought out by Yum Brands, TB now uses bagged meat and beans. Repaired at a processing center, then shipped to the stores, to save money.

Del Taco still uses Fresh meat and beans everyday.

FWIW, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are part of the Yum Brands, which is the largest group of restraunts in the world, by far.

A&W Restaurants, Inc., KFC Corp., Long John Silvers Inc., Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Wing Street are all part of the Yum Corporation.

Here we have them all together in one spot! There is a KFC/Taco Hell/PizzaHut in one building and across the street is a A&W/Long John Silver place.
