What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

So here's a stupid story I think some of you will appreciate or at least shake your head to...

I'm building a 2017 Tacoma for the SEMA Show this year and yesterday I received my 18" Voxx Wheels TR6's and 35x12.50R18 General Tire Grabber X3's. I put them in the bed of the Tacoma (keep in mind it's stock right now) and take them to a local shop to be mounted and balanced and put in the back of the truck. A while later, they say "Your truck is ready" so I go to pay, get the key and walk to the parking lot find what you see below. These dingdongs mounted these wheels and tires and then put them on the stock truck! I stood there absolutely floored. Obviously I made them swap everything back to the stock wheels and tires but...JFC.

 

Haha... priceless!

 

I think the guy who did your wheels and tires used to work at McDonalds and always gave me extra sauce on my bagel when I ordered it with no sauce. I guess he switched jobs

Got the base for my drawer system cut out. It’s a bit bowed because of the side bolts on the storage cubbies and the tie down bolts on the bottom. Plan on removing the tie down bolts and screwing it directly in.

 

Just derp'd my front bumper piece.....

 

Finally installed my bed reinforcement brackets by @At The Helm They are something simple and functional!

 

This forum is bad enough with newbs asking about 285's fitting on a stock Tacoma... Now you added a picture with 35's on a stock Tacoma... What have you done???

is that the 30" single row? the light output looks great

 

Pleasantly surprised with what I did today. It has been roughly 8 weeks since I did a complete alcohol wipe down of my differential housing. It had a few dark looking spots and road dirt but no real grease. Checked today and zero stains anywhere. Completely bone dry around the bolts and cover. I think I dodged a bullet. I do have a recall letter but not taking it in until my final free service and oil change around 1200 more miles at 16k. Yippee.

 

No it's a 30" double row. 300W 33,000lm.

 

As far as I know 285's will rub but don't know to what extent?

 

Just put on some new legs and boots. And a new grille.
