that is a great deal. I built mine from the kit and kept it at one speed. Its pretty fun. I picked up a used one on RCCrawler as well and built it up as the DT for a buddy.

You won't strip any of the plastic gears with the stock setup. I have a 10.5T sensored and metal tranny gears in mine and I have started breaking stuff. I have busted a pin in my CV axle and a couple ofset screws on my front drive shaft.

I wrote MIP today asking them about their discontinued TH cvd's. I bet they were bomb proof. Sadly they don't make a front driveline either, only the rear...

That Mizz DT is what got me looking at them again. I got a 1/12 clone FY03 years ago to pacify my craving but that didn't hold out after seeing that DT body and the Ripsaws. I've got 5 Ripsaws from my Honcho that will likely go on it. Haven't decided yet. Parts shopping right now at something to relocate the front shocks upright and at some Scorched Parts Shapeway bits.

What's wrong with the body? Wanna sell it?

I was referring to the body actually. Wouldn't blame you to keep it.

It's a great souvenir from Japan. My first RC was brought back from Japan by my dad. It was a toy, and I was a kid, but I remember it well. Wish I would have kept it.

I bought my first hobby grade rc when I was stationed in Japan in the early/nid 90s....a Kyosho Stinger MKII

    540 or 380? Either way I'd recommend a HobbyWing to match it. For a 540 I'd go with a cheap RC4WD. Banggood has a $20 motor/ESC combo in the 540 flavor if that's what'll fit it.

I just bought a hobbywing 1080 esc and a titan 21T...cheap and should give a lil more speed and will still crawl

A 110t motor sounds stout. Slow, but strong.

I currently have a new Arrma outcast hooked up. Also have a Traxxas Slash 2wd as my daughter's truck and an Axial Wraith crawler that is awesome.

Just sold my crazy fast 6s slash 4x4 build along with my mini chopper...

Well. I checked out the new, to me, Twin Hammers today. I swapped the ESC plug over to deans and charged up a 2s lipo. Took it for a spin around the yard and the 2 speed to set up great. But it kept rolling over and I gave it a closer inspection, too. It seems the front diff is toast. Neither wheel spins when throttled and the driveshaft is spinning. Looks like my killer deal may be on par after the repair. Oh well. It is clean though.

Hope this helps out a few people. This would be the under hood Wraith electronics tray.

IMG_6729.jpg Just bought my first RC since I was a kid. Found a used Slash 4x4 for a good deal. Then had to find a Toyota body for it, too bad I didn't find a Taco... Painting n stickers was way easier than I figured it was going to be! Fun little toy

    Twin Hammer panels anyone.

Edit: I made these panels for mine finally and I'll let it be known the single rear hole for the screw is off slightly, but the forward 4 holes on each of the side panels are good.. The holes for the roof panel are also off every so slightly. The hood was good.

I started disassembling the front diff only to discover that the two set screws for the driveshaft had loosened enough to not bite anymore. 5 minutes I assembly later and it's running like a top.

Hub adapter broke on one of my Axial Method beadlocks. Suggestions on a good aluminum replacement for just the Hub adapter?
