Ha I guess it's a bigger deal down here. Just a fun 2 weeks to shoot the little rice rockets and tide us over until big duck season at the beginning of november

Its a big deal to our group. The doves usually move out pretty quickly after Labor Day so the teal, woody and early Canada Goose season is a nice warmup for the Thanksgiving morning opener. Either shoot the small ducks or sit in the deer stand and sweat it out.

So to shoot Canadian geese or not... The local dove field (public WMA) has no doves, but vast amount of geese... Think I should go for geese instead?

Opening day of early Canada Goose here in KY. 20 birds on 3 volleys. Big group of birds landed a few hundred yards away on the other side of a tree line so good chance we get another good hunt in this early season. Saw ~75 woodies dry feeding last night in the same field we hunted today. Only saw a few this morning so hopefully we can get on them.

    Can't beat it!

Got in to a few woodies tonight! Probably would have done better had the cows not started getting in the pond while birds were working. They were landing further out than normal.

I'm curious to know if anyone here shoots a Beretta A400. I just bought one and I love it. Curious to know everyone else's thoughts on them.

I shoot an A300. It goes bang every time. Eats every thing I feed it including all dove loads so far while friends inertia guns wont cycle.

Putting it back together is a pain in the ass some times when trying to line up the connecting rod from the bolt to the spring seat in the stock.

Not sure if they share that design but I would think they do.

Edit: just looked up the A400 internals. Looks completely different. So disregard assembly statement.

We killed 5 blue wings and 7 woodies last night. I couldn't make it out tonight but 49 birds since Saturday (9/16) plus whatever they shot tonight. Been an excellent early season so far.

Good mixed bag! Hoping this is the year somebody in our group gets a pintail. Not many around where we live

I have yet to see greenheads where I hunt, but it’s hard to beat watching pintails work down to the decoys from way up high where they like to fly

    To busy??

It's funny here we are only allowed to shoot 2 blue wings per hunter per day. Green wings are 6 I think, and overall 6 ducks per hunter per day.
