Its a good call, but why stop there? I'm going to take off my bumper because its hard and might crush a skull on impact. I may remove my windows as the lacerations that may occur from a cyclist going through a window could kill 'em, then maybe my tires as the rolling mass could roll over a torso and crush vital organs... Next I am going to remove every rock from mountain bike trails, and so on...
This is coming from a cyclist.

Sounds great! They are a good idea - wish I had something like that when I was working in a project on a Forest Service contract. My columns on both sides of the windshield were all messed up.

As for those commenting about bikes vs vehicles, we all share the road and the laws go for everyone. My accident was due to an idiot that cut me off and turned right in front of me, I was able to stay high on the hood and wasn't hurt that badly.

Has anyone purchased a rack since the CBI transition and had a flawless transaction? I mean, a true 4-6 weeks for delivery and no missing parts? I'm a vagina hair away from
    pulling the trigger.

There are plenty of morons out there. Drive, ride, run, walk defensively.

I ordered mine in early august, slated to ship on September 9. Still no word.

CBI is solid, discard that ocean rabbit and pull the trigger. At least that is what I told myself.

Since people are talking about limb risers.... question for you.

When the truck is in a flex, what keeps the cable from being stretched beyond its means? Or.. perhaps pulling the rack forward/breaking bumper mount.

You could keep the cables loose, but then how effective are they at moving limbs if the need should arise? I live in the PNW and deal with limbs often...

Yes for the most part. Ordered end of July and it arrived in mid August. Only issue was slight powder coating defect that is visible on the wind deflector. I posted about that a few pages back.

    Valid point lol.

What about the rack tho? Looking at the pictures on the last page, what's to keep the cable from ripping the rack forward then when in a frame flex situation.

If you look at the pictures again you will see that the cable is fixed to the turnbuckles via a "swageless cable fitting." They are made to be very strong unions but if something were to give it would be one of them. I proved that in Missouri on ridiculously tight trails when I misjudged the mass of a low limb and it loudly popped one.

Back on subject... just got home- checked my home email and whoopee, a UPS notice that my Prinsu Cabrack is being delivered to my house tomorrow!! :)

CBI let me know a few days ago via email too, thank you guys, great customer service, and fast, too!! I ordered it just a couple weeks ago, so it looks like they are on top of their orders and production now.

Can't wait to install it and carry my boats on it this weekend to the lake!

It took mine just a couple weeks, I ordered a cabrack with just the deflector and sides powdered, and just plain anodized bars. Did you order something different? They were good about emailing me a invoice and a shipping notice too on the date they shipped it.

I haven't ordered anything yet. I just want confirmation that they're on top of their shit now before I pull the trigger.

I'd say so, ordered it September 7th, arriving tomorrow the 21st (2 weeks exactly). If you want to wait a day, I'll post a video of me opening the box! :)

Or not, but I will update on what was in it and its condition.
