You guys all realize that once OVTune has a life changing event, or just gets tired of it, you are all screwed since you don't have a hand controller to load this tune yourself???? Wise up!

"life changing event" or not, at least it fixes issues MANY people have and complained about. OVTune saw a market and they are taking advantage of it. Wait until they bring life back to the 1GR, you'll have a revelation on your hands.

 

The files are on my computer vs a hand held device. This different how? A hand held would be more compact and convenient, sure but I have the same level of access. What happens if you drop and break your handheld? Do you have the files backed up? WHAT THEN!!!!!!!

Once we get our files we can load and unload all we want without him, wise guy.

All he does is send us an email then we take care of the flashing part of it.

I'm stumped, and wish to ask for a little help. I've pm'd OV, but no reply for a while now.

I'm trying to 'Read' my ECU data. The instructions read

"once it has recognized your ECU, press the READ button and follow the


software prompts. The readout can take up to 20 minutes! So please be


patient and do not interrupt this process"

I had no problem 'Identifying' my ECU, but when I click on 'Read', nothing happens. I do not see the software prompts at all.

Do I have to wait up to 20 minutes before any prompt will appear, or is something wrong?

Thank you dYLOn, but I've been using that contact page all afternoon. I don't think that it is actually Mat's email address. I've never before or today gotten a reply from that contact page.

I have also PM'd him.

Do you recall, during your many ECU Reading events, do you get software prompts as soon as you click 'Read', or only after the reading event is done? In either case, I get no prompts, even after 20 minutes. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or something is broken.

did you guys have to turn off your pc's security to down load Ovtunes software and drivers ?

Yes turn it off. And disconnect from Wi-Fi once you’re reading / flashing.

 

Turn off no. Make an exception for the software that flagged, yes. Windows defender caused hang-ups mid flash for some folks so you may want to temporarily disable it to be on the safe side.
