Don't know about the actual trailer we are referencing. But most campers that are "pre-wired" for zamp have just a 2-pin SAE connector run to the battery.

Ok so sent the wife off to work armed with the info to do more research on the IndelB fridge and dometic. She keeps insisting the 35l fridge is big enough and I tell her for 2 people camping ⛺️ up to a week I don't think it is. My plan is to still pack with the meals planned for later in the trip to be frozen and put in first but for this to contain all our food and then have a second, just cooler, for drinks. I'd rather spend a little more now and get bigger planning for future longer trips than have to buy again later. Please tell me if this thinking is flawed

She saw on the fb site where this guy has been out now for 35 days with his camper like ours with a 35l dometic and has it in her mind that's all we need. I tried to explain 1. Its only one person and 2. He has to be getting more supplies between locations. I still get mad when I see these folks pulling their Tiger Moths all over the country with a Subaru and my 4cyl tacoma barely pulled it over a mtn.

@Casper66 depends on how you guys eat.

we packed steaks, hot dogs, lunch meats, hearty breakfasts, etc.

I feel we ate pretty well.

We eat a very low fat diet so my wife tends to plan all kinds of nice meals. We always do a lot of pre trip prepping with our food so we lower the amount of time involved with cooking, reduce our trash out put, and allows us to pack tighter. We have several sealed containers we pack in like 1 will hold a dozen cracked eggs, another holds 2 batches of pancake batter premixed so you only have to pour it out, and various other small containers that hold things like creamer, milk and other essentials. I'll precut meats, compact them and freeze them in meal portions. You should see how concise she has figured out how to pack the kitchen stuff like the spices. She actually went out and bought a bunch of Tic Tac containers and she filled each with a spice and labeled them. This allows very compact storage and you can just flip open the little lids and shake out how much spice you need. With this micro camper everything has to be packed strategically. Most items packed have multiple uses we even found collapseable colander, bowls, and pet food/ water bowls.

Not flawed at all. If the larger fridge has the same footprint, but higher profile, than the smaller one and you have the vertical space, I'd go larger in a heartbeat! For example, the IndelB TB31, TB41, and TB51 all have the same footprint but get taller as you go larger.

Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. We use our TB51 for everything from a Costco run to road trips to camping trips.

Exactly my thinking. I'm not a let's just see how much money I can spend kinda person but I want to buy what's actually going to serve us best. I also want to keep things concise with only a fridge and a drink cooler and not having to have another cooler or 2 to hold other items

We pre-trip plan the meals out just like you describe.

60 quart will do you fine.

if you want to meet her in the middle, don't go less than a 50 quart.

I'm looking and I think dometic jumps from the 40 all the at to 60 so the IndelB 51l or 55qt may just be the winner

Here's my Dometic fridge. I'm very happy with it's performance so far. I used it for a week straight while camped and it performed it's job flawlessly: keeping my beer cold!

Ok more questions then sorry. Which dometic is it? What about bed mount? Is it hard to remove? I use the truck for other things like dump runs and stuff. Details on the electrical panel in the bed please.

I used rubber compression nuts in the bed, so the slider is very easy to remove and install: only 4 bolts removed from the top and no crawling under the bed.

The fridge is the CFX 50W
    Slider is: CFX-SLD5065US

Fridges are like gun safes. Always get the bigger one. And sometimes get the bigger bigger one. :D

For those of you with the Dometic/ARB/expensive fridges, do they get used exclusively in your truck, or do any of you use them for, say, a beer fridge in your office when they aren't in your truck.

Basically, how many of them get constant use?
