    Steel, and I believe they are galvanized. They are the 7' poles. I cut 1" out of each of the 3 sections to make em fit the bag, so they are now 6'9" poles

    Do it. Its nice being able to have the option set it up off the side if need be.

    Ive gotten so used to setting up the awning off the side of the truck, itll be weird to be able to set it up over the tailgate,
