Yes that is true. Fabulous deal you should be proud of yourself. You must of pushed that dealer into a huge bonus from Toyota for volume of sales units.

I'd really feel better buying you some tailgate letters or something, seriously. Let me send you an Amazon credit or something!

Either way MY APOLOGIES for doubting, everything you said I can confirm 100% true, correct MSRP that matches the VIN and there wasn't even a tradein or backend to make it up one. You straight up paid $1,500 below invoice on a 4x4 in socal, that's incredible.

This is the lowest I've ever seen a brand new Tacoma sell for, and I sold Toyotas for 5 years.

To everyone else seeing this don't be disappointed if you can't get even close to that price, this is definitely an outlier, so much so I didn't believe it until @dwnfall straight up proved proved me wrong.

Edit: I looked up the invoice and it was slightly lower than I assumed, $35,749, so you paid exactly $1,250 below invoice which is ironically what I paid for mine (but I was the top salesman at a Toyota dealer for half a decade so makes sense). Makes slightly more sense as that's only about a $500 net loss which I've seen once or twice, but still extremely rare and not a price I'd expect random shoppers to be able to get.

I just listened to what everyone was saying to do mass email a bunch of dealers find competitive prices narrowed it down to two one would not go any lower then 200 above invoice and that was a fairly local dealer so I used that price to leverage a deal with the other dealer I purchased from which was farther away. I did notify the salesman that I was in no need to buy now but ready to make a deal should the price be right. we agreed on a price of 38.3 OTD then I brought up a trade in I had and told him what I needed for it to make the purchase work and he couldn't give me it but lowered the price to 37.7. So I sold my trade in privately and took the deal. Honestly it was a ton of luck and I definitely believe my faith helped set things up so it could all work out.

By mass email do you mean you sent one email to all dealers where they could all see the conversations of each other?
    That'd be interesting to see

No I mean I emailed/called them all individually asked for quotes on the vehicle I was looking for. Then once they responded I would quote the current best deal I had from an opposing dealership and asked them to beat it

Another thing that might have helped is I asked for quoted on a specific sport that I knew there were only two or so in the state then once they said they didn't have it the they would ask if I was interested in an off road and ide act like I was settling for an off road to negotiate a bit of a better price

Got the tow package, bed mat, all weather floor mats/sills, mudflaps, wheel locks, pinstripe and 2 extra years added to the toyota care maintenance.

    Also complete with the stache
