Hi I am new to this site. I just recently bought a 2016 tacoma sport and need some advice. This truck has the worst ride out of all the other trucks I previously owned. I feel every little bump on the road, it rides like a covered wagon. My question is what can I do to improve the ride/ suspension.

I know its a truck , I have owned several other brand trucks throughout my life and for a price tag of 33 grand this is the worst ride. It rides good if your on a smooth road but it bad it the road is alittle rough. I like the truck otherwise

You probably should have done a thorough test drive before buying, the Off Road would have probably been a better choice for you as it has a smoother ride than the Sport.

Are you looking to just change out shocks, but retain stock height, or are you looking to lift your truck some?

Usually that is a way to do it. Springs play a role in that as well.

Frankenstein lift, warn winch, heavy rear bumper swing out
Swap some OR coils in it would ride softer.

How much air are you running in the tires? That's the first thing I'd check.

They would but start with the easier things, what type of truck (Sport / SR5/ SR or Offroad) and what size / brand of tires are you currently running?

Because Sport. Lol, just get some 5100's or buy a used set from someone's TRD OR and it will be better.

OR coils are the coils from a TRD Off Road. I have read that the TRD OR shocks and coils are much softer on the ride so I just picked up a used set from another member here upgrading their truck. You can usually find a low mileage used set here with the coils still attached for about $250. I didnt have a chance to put mine on yet, but will do in the next few month when I have time.
