Have you shot it yet? How do you like the ALG Trigger? I was thinking of getting one for my 556 or Pistol

Yes I've shot it. I really like the ACT. For ~$55 it is excellent. People compare them to it's big brother, Geissele, but it wasn't made to compete there. It's a budget trigger that blows the mil spec LPK triggers out of the water. It's a must in every built over a stock trigger group.

Its not like it drops right there where you are working...it flies at just under breaking the sound barrier speed, bounces off two walls behind the couch never to be seen again

My neighbor did that once down in his basement and he looked for it for 3 days, I came over and he told me about it, so we walked down together and I reached right down and pick it up within seconds and said is this it, , LOL

Have any of you messed with or heard of these trigger upgrade kits, my neighbor has got a couple, definitely make a much lighter and smoother trigger but still quite skeptical, especially dealing with the setscrew in the middle of the handgrip bolt. But you definitely can't go wrong with the price. Definitely a budget conscious fix!

    Taylor-Tactical.
He bought them on sale 2/$28+ shipping

Good morning. First time commenter, long time :spy:.

I've actually never heard of these before, but this has me slightly concerned:
"Application: The Reduced Power Hammer Spring is intended for competition and recreational use only and should not be installed in any rifle used for defense or duty applications. By reducing the spring tension, the introduction of light strikes or failures to fire due to the lack of primer detonation may occur."

Even if I only use my rifle(s) for plinking, hunting, target, etc., I'm not sure I want to be concerned with figuring out if a FTF is from a soft strike or a slow burn/bad primer. Just not for me, I guess.

I just put a JP enterprise Red/Yellow spring kit in my AR Pistol and I am gonna see how it shoots this weekend. Supposedly the Red/Yellow springs are the reliability springs and dont cause FTF and light strikes.

I am. The AR I built makes use of both side charging via an ASA upper and an echo trigger. It's an expensive route, but I definitely enjoy the extra function.

Having a coated BCG is just a nice experience over all. I have 4 BCGs, 2 nitrites, 1 chromed, and 1 Ion-Bonded finish. For a perfectionist like me, I like to keep my ARs in top, ready-to-go, condition. Depending on how much lube and how often you clean your carriers makes a difference. Just speaking from experience, after 1 or 2 range or desert trips, my nitrite carriers begin to feel coarse and I'll do a field strip to avoid possible malfunction. The chrome carrier is better, slicker finish and gives me peace of mind when I haven't cleaned it in awhile. The Ion-Bonded carrier blows away the chrome though, they say it's better than nickel boron, I'd say it's marginal. Love the finish on that thing, as much as I shoot it, the action stays smooth and the carrier seems to negate carbon buildup much better than the others.

Like I said, I'm a perfectionist though, nitrites work just fine for someone who field strips their rifles often so it'll come down to personal preference.
