I thought about going F150, but the way I want the truck it'll be out of my budget.

 

Wow. That's surprising. He's on the ignore list so I haven't seen what's going on.

 

The power delivery sucks too. It's fine around town but it's either you drive it like a granny or Ken Block. Otherwise it falls on it's face.

My diff doesn't leak I don't think, but I'm not on the list. My diff howls but it doesn't bother me. There's a crosswind noise that irks me.

Otherwise it's exactly what I want. I miss my 13 but I don't regret going 3G over another 2G.

 

I've learned that it is a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to mod the Tacoma than the F150. The aftermarket support is worlds better with the Tacoma if you with anything beyond just 5100s all around. I do miss that but it's helped keep my wallet in tact.

 

I don't care much about modding it. That's why I'm being pretty specific about the options

 

Many of us thought that very same thing before the modding our trucks.

Helped a jeep guy do a rear diff swap while I was out here.

 

Also did an undercarriage check on an old rover of some sort...
(those are birds perched above the windshield...)

As of right now, looks like I'll be going up to the Big E tomorrow with the wife, kiddos, and the in laws.

If we do end up going I'll probably be wearing my NETW shirt, so if anyone happens to go and sees me, make sure you say hi.

 

Getting married a week from tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be spending my weekend running a ton of last minute errands.

 

And probably dishing out final payments... at least that's what happened when I got married. Everyone seemed to want to get paid a week or two before, with the exception of the caterer.

 

Thankfully, I'm done with payments . I had decided to spread them out so I settled all balances with the various vendors throughout the last year. The last one to get paid was last weekend (reception venue) and that was a freaking large check. And I had already given them a few partial payments.

 

There you go! Good plan. One thing I will say, which I'm sure you probably already heard from others, is to make sure you enjoy yourself and try to actually eat. Time will go by a lot quicker than you think it will, and I'm sure you and the wife will probably be going around, saying hi and thanking peeps for coming, but make sure you take time out for yourself, and her, to eat and enjoy the party. After all, it is YOUR party.

LOL. Yeah... I told the wife the same thing, but you know how women are. She was off from school on Thursday, and initially had thought about going then, which would have been better, but the wanted to stay home and run errands. We'll see what happens.

As my father in law says, with his thick Portuguese accent, "WOMANS!!!!"
