Installed some sound proofing material and new speakers on all 4 doors.

The difference was incredible. It was worth the 8 hours it took to do in the hot Louisiana sun.

Just gonna post the driver side door, basically did all the same on all the other doors.

Let me know if anyone has questions regarding the process.

 

How much sound deadening material did you have to buy?

 

Torx bit. T40 for the D-rings. T55 for the galvanized bolts.

 

Gonna tackle this tomorrow AM.. was it pretty simple going right over the green plastic and OEM crap? I got a small roller thing as well and plan on just steamrolling everything real good

Make sure you buy the door trim panel remover and the roller as well. Helps the process goes a lot smoother as well.

 

Which sound deadening material did you use? The same one I bought? If so I can give you some tips regarding cutting a hole for the OEM wires.

 

I have it on the middle setting, 1.1” I believe. It’s odd because sometimes I look at my truck and think it’s level and other times it looks just a bit low in the rear. When I have time I’ll park it on level ground and measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender flares to make sure.

 

Seems locked in their pretty good.
