    hello all,

So I recently put 30x9.5 r15 on my five lug tacoma with a 3mm spacer. As soon as I went to roll out I heard grinding. It's rubbing on my caliber. I put both 3mm spacers on one wheel just to check and it spun freely. So my question is

Do I grind down my caliber so it fits properly

    OR

Do I put 6mm spacers on my front.
Which if I do that will I need longer studs.

    Any suggestions?

I personally used a grinder on my calipers. Just use your best judgement.

You'd get better answers in the 5-lug forum. Someone else has likely already played the same game

I have a five lug and can give you some insight.

You have two options. Either grind the caliper, or swap the lug studs with ones from a Matrix and run 5mm spacers. I know guys who have done both. The grinding option is cheaper, but if you don't want to do that, the extended lug studs are Dorma part number: 90942-02078. You'll need 20. You can replace all 20 without removing the wheel hubs/bearings.

Also, since you are running 30's, you you need to do the Black Box Mod. Search the forums for other threads on this mod, it is very simple and will prevent rubbing. DO THIS MOD FIRST, it may solve your issue, as it is VERY common with 5 lugs that run bigger than stock tires.
