Man if I didn't already have my ride I would go for it at that price. Have you already hit up the classifieds for it? I can see that selling fast I would think with the S/C and stuff on it. I mean really besides some lights its a done truck.

Translation: Buy some parts at retail price and get a truck with 63k for less than $10k.

It's got a Baja Designs dustlight frenched into the tail gate that's wired up to the cab, just need to wire the switch panel. I do have a 30" Baja Designs Pro bar I had bought for the front but I ran it on the trophy truck and it got some damage when I crashed, one of the cells shut off and the harness got tore up. I've been meaning to send it in to get checked out but just haven't made time. I have only listed it locally but Texas is special, people have a different mentality and think it's okay to knock $10k right of the bat.

    Exactly!

For some reason I thought you were in Cali. I might be relocating temporarily for work over to the Houston area. Would be cool to see the ride, although I don't know how close you would even be.

I'm in the bastard child of Texas, El Paso. 12 hours away from Cali and Houston. I don't complain though, we got plenty of places to go off roading and racing without having to travel.

I don't have any videos or anything of my truck but here's a video my lilttle brother threw together of him playing around in his LT Ranger. We got whoops, sand, silt, rocks, pretty much everything Baja has to offer about 5 minutes from where I live since we are in the suburbs of the city.

I'd think it's more your proximity to Mexico/New Mexico.

Yeah I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. They love this stuff down in Mexico though, they have a bigger racing league across the border than we do. There's a handful of Class 1 cars, and tons of Class 1600 and Class 10 cars. Most won't race over here due because they can't cross the border, and we won't race over there due to the drug wars.

What are your guys' thoughts on making your own extended CV shaft? I need a trail spare.

My CVs are +3.5" over stock. Can I avoid spending $275 on a single extended shaft if I have a spare set of stock length shafts and can easily chop and add 3.5" to one of them? Probably with a sleeve.

How critical is it that they are balanced? Anyone done this?

I miss NM. I was an hour south of Abq for 16 years. I always heard that the show Cops wasn't allowed to film in NM because they were there so often they were giving the state a bad rep.

My buddy in Abq was texting me the other day telling me how he saw someone in a hoodie he didn't recognize around his neighbor's house, so he went over unarmed to investigate. Turned out it was just his neighbor but still... My buddy has 3 degrees, but no one ever said he was smart. I told him he should have just called the cops if he was worried enough to investigate, instead of going over unarmed to do it himself.

I would like a spare that can drive me 400 miles home at 75 mph.

Apparently the Blazeland guy has done it on his 1st gen 4runner.
