Do you just sell the leds for the bed lights?

ok, I have a 2011, which instructions do I fallow for something like this. Want to do puddle and bed lights with a SPDT switch so door/fab and at my choosing

Looks great man!!! I wana do bed lights on its own switch. You mind going over in terms of wiring it to the fuse panel ?

 

There was no wiring in the fuse panel just ran wire by it to the switch. Does that answer your question?

 

From where to the switch?

 

The lights are switched on the ground side instead of normally on the power side. So ran power to all the lights from the battery and used the on off on switch to either choose the puddle lights ground or just a steady ground. I tapped the dome light ground in the A pillar (when i flip the switch up) and grounded the other to a bolt in the cab (when i flip the switch down).

So I have one more question for this post after everything is wired up and you turn your domelight to off do the courtesy light still come on still come on when you open the door The reason I ask is mine come on when I open the door with the dome light turned off

 

Yes they should work. You are completing the circuit on the ground side not the power side.

Can someone please post a third gen with their courtesy lights working as shown in the Original Post?

 

Not until I buy a turd gen.....just kidding. If some posts it here I will link it in the OP.

 

@mesojdm - I know you are a boss when it comes to wiring. Take a look at the below diagram for a third gen and let me know how I should change it. I got this from @caribe makaira but it doesn't work as I would like. The lights only come on when I turn the truck on, and there is zero functionality when it comes to the key fob/dome circuit fade on/off. These lights basically function like any standard light. They turn on or off by a switch, and only when the truck is on. If you have no idea what I am talking about, then nevermind, lol. Also, see the OP for more info.
NOTE: This does not work for the third Gen!
