Dude this is a killer write up! Been meaning to do this at some point and really appreciate the play by play, nice! That tape trick will save some time for sure. Still can't believe Toyota skimped on this..nuts![/QUOTE]

Thanks guys! I too was getting frustrated with having to keep adjusting it. That’s one of the many mods I can mark off my list.

That's a lot of Tire for that low of truck. What's your specs if you don't mind me asking?

Great Writeup. I've been pushing this mod back myself but I will need to get this done at some point. Being back home I have passengers all the time. It doesn't bug them but my OCD goes crazy.

Not sure if it will help you! I got them for added support when wheeling, I know the bed flexes a bunch when Im loaded down. Its also great to have supportive tie down spots for gear too!

Superb play-by-play. How sturdy are the fasteners since only in carpet? And where do you get the kit? Thanks

Are most of you all doing this to improve your stereo sound or does it insulate from road noise too. Would love to quite down the noise my Generals make at +65mph. Just wondering if doors is enough to make a difference.

It does both if done correctly. Doors help a lot if you do door skins and inside panel. I also did floor and back wall which helped even more.

Did you remove the seats to get to the floor? I feel the floor and back wall would make the biggest difference? And roughly how many hours or days did the floor back wall take?

Those in black look great! And not sure if its just me but your tires look more aggressive than mine... maybe its just me. Just a note I have the same tire. running a 235/85/17 maybe thats why...?

I pulled basically everything. I did it by myself and took about 8hrs total for floor and back. If you have help will go much faster. I followed this build as they have step by step for the floor starting on #62.

Edit: btw, I kept original floor matting since it's form fit in many places. They replaced theirs with new MLV foam padding.

I haven't took my door Panels off but do all our doors come with these covers you have on your doors here for the holes where there isn't the speaker? Those look nice and professional.
