Hello 1st gen Grille problem, I have an 01 Tacoma and the grille and head lights seem to not seated properly and not flush with the truck. I tried to fix it myself and the lights wont budge and a missing lights possibly? Also this weird paint crack not sure what to do about that. Any ideas???

Was it involved in an accident and not repaired properly?

Are yo sure you have correct lights (your left and right is different). 4x4 and 2WD are different as well as 95-97 vs 98-2004. I saw you just bought the truck so probably you don't know.

This might be why lights are different. My guess is that after the repair it was replaced with the wrong type.

Well I just got the truck off of chregslist. So I'm not sure if it was or not. Should I try to get new lights that match or get a new grille with new lights, If so what would you recommend? And what should I do about the weird paint shrinking?

I'd say you need to get the correct lights first. That left corner light clearly isn't the correct light. There are no external screws for the 01-04 lights. Without detailed photos of the grille/light assembly, it's difficult to identify the issue.

And it looks like that left corner light is different than the one in your avatar. Different truck?

Same truck just different angle to hide flaws. Ok, thank you! And if you look to the left of the light there is an empty place, is that a missing part or just there for no reason?

The one in your avatar looks like a clear lense.

Yes, there is a part missing. It just snaps in to cover that part of the grille.
