I think people would accept it more as a new truck if it looked like this and differentiated itself from the wrangler unlimited more. However the JT does have a frame unique to it, substantialy different from the wrangler.

That would of been fricken cool, surprised no-one has a body kit for it yet.

Yeah crew cabs definitely sell...dunno, something about regular cabs, it's a man's man truck...two seats, one for the driver, and one for his dog. :D

I prefer the "electric razor" grill myself.

Might get me booted from TW, but found this site, has some cool Jeep builds/restorations in it.

    http://collinsbrosjeep.com/custom-work/

We had an old Wagoneer Cherokee Chief years ago, have somewhat of soft spot for them, even though they were POS when new...

...The J10 is one of my all time favorite body styles, just needs a LC80 chassis tossed under it. ;)

I still have my first truck. Chevy regular cab short bed, loved it then, love it now, but family has grown so it sits in garage 99.9% of the time.

Yeah the pickup truck has become the family truckster. We are void of spawn, and a RC doesn't quite work for me...like those Extra Cabs...but mang, RCSB's just look oh so right.

I traded my 2013 JKU for a 2017 TRD OR. I loved my jeep and really miss it but I'm glad I got the Tacoma. My tacoma will never be able to do the sort of off roading my jeep did but the on road handeling and overall utility of the tacoma is worth it. I may get another jeep someday.

Finally bit the bullet. I kinda wanted to wait for cement, but with the specials out right now and what I wanted to do...just seemed like the right time. I drove a stick and an auto for a week or so just to make sure which one I wanted. I am used to manual, but it was much slower than the automatic. Didn't expect that. Gonna be tough letting go of my baby, but I will be ok. I got a silver sky O/R double cab. Gotta send drivers to Ft Wayne to get her, though. Should be here tomorrow?? Got everything I wanted on her except the roof rack.

How do you compare the power? On paper they have similar numbers but my JKU feels pretty peppy compared to a recent 4Runner I drove, I know the 3rd gen Tacoma has the new 3.5L not the 4L the 4Runner has.
I bought new a '84. '86, '90, '91, '93, '95 Toyota pickups, I used to trade them in and they would only lose a couple thousand in value. I currently have a 2010 Tundra crewmax and 2014 JKU, thinking of getting rid of them both and getting a Tacoma and sports car.
The one thing I love about the JKU is how maneuverable it is and how parking lot proof it is, having plastic on all sides I can park it anywhere it is virtually undingable, my Tundra on the other hand is huge and has big flat sides which are super vulnerable, I always park away from everyone on the few occasions I drive it.

I guess just feel. To me, the stick had NO power compared to the automatic. It shocked me, because my JKU stick is way more powerful than it's auto version.

Certain individuals are always driven in this way. All vehicle forums have these types. They probably have other issues in real life and are drawn towards drama for whatever reason

Just went from a 2011 JKU to a 2017 TRD OR DCLB and I love it. I miss some things of the Jeep, but the quiet cab, more power, cargo room, better gas mileage, etc are far better and completely worth it. DO IT!
