    It's less about coolness and more having the function of shooting simulated auto and a two round burst that's legal to own. That being said, it puts a smile on your face.;)

    Well it used to be that AKs were a cheaper platform to ge into than ARs. Now the tables have turned, I find very little practicality in it.

    Well guys, the AR9 is very close to done. Need a hand brace, buffer sping of some sort, and a grip. I just buy parts when I find a good deal. Its like a game haha!

    Anyone have a good solution for a vertical mount for a rifle in my closet? muzzle up or down doesn't matter...but would like to be able to keep the mag in the rifle

    Are you looking for a lockable mount or just something to hold it in place?
    @docloco 's build thread has a clever way to mount a rifle in the truck, but it can be used in a closet as well.

    If security isn't an issue (kids/guests), then I don't see why a quickfist around the hand guard wouldn't work.

    I would just screw a wall hanger like this into a stud and hang the rifle by the stock and buffer tube.
