ok... so I know a lot of you fellas are running mobtown products. That being said I think most of that is because yall could save on shipping. So lets say shipping costs aren't and issue... what is everyones honest opinions on the differences or preferences between mobtown and pelfreybilt skids, sliders and bumpers. I really want to get the pelfreybilt bumper when I am ready and because of that my OCD is screaming get their skids and sliders as well. However I am not against mobtowns gear as it seems just as good except they don't have a fuel tank skid and it wouldn't match everything else I get. I am hoping to make this purchase soon and have done a good bit of research on both I am just having a tough time making a final decision. So I figured why not get some of you guys opinions!

There's no doubt that pelfrey's bumpers look better (IMO) so between the two I'd pick theirs. As far as skids, I'm running mobtown and they're extremely beefy and over engineered. I'd still pick them even if I had to pay shipping. I say get a mixture, because it truly won't matter.

David just remember to keep an eye on your coolant temps while on the trails, especially in summer. Superchargers make a LOT of heat, and if you are rock crawling its not pushing much air through to keep cool. An electric pusher fan may be the cheapest option, or like Daniel was saying, a bigger radiator and cooling system for the sc.

I made it home. Truck is idling rough, but runs ok on the road. Definitely need to the the ecu thing fixed.

If money and shipping isn’t an issue pelfrey makes nice stuff man. Also SOS is pretty close. You save on shipping but if you go pickup you pay tax so it kinda doesn’t matter unless you catch a group buy or sale for mobtown. They all make nice stuff though man that’s why they are all doing well in this market. Get what you want man. It took me a while and I finally got down to two companies and I’m super happy with my choice so far. I went with what I wanted and for my uses. Not sure if that helped or made it harder to choose lmao!

I hear ya... they both make their products out of 3/16 steel so I don't really see much difference between the two. I also like to try to stick with one vendor and give them all my business for whatever they market and I'm buying. If that makes sense. For example, I bought my lift from @HeadStrong Off-Road and because of that and the excellent customer service I have bought everything suspension wise from them so far and plan on it in the future unless its something I want and they just don't have it. I guess this kinda makes my decision for me huh...

I'm just a little worried here though as I have heard you like to drive slow. If this is the case when are you gonna use that Supercharger? Maybe you should rethink this and just give it to me for a Christmas present instead!

    Rise and shine, fellas.

Oil change on deck for today. Going to collect a sample for an used oil analysis. Also, going to try STP 0w-20 instead of the usual Mobil 0w-20.

Has to be light outside for a successful oil change. Go back to bed....you're drunk.

I didn't say I'm doing it right now. I got up to the hobby shop at work, so I can use the lift. They don't open until 0800, so I'll pack up and head out in a few minutes. It's an hour ride to work, and I've got to stop at the ATM for cash.

It could be because the tune isn't there yet. You can reset the ecu and see if that helps, or just wait till after the flash.
