My ass is going to be on this, heading for the Smokies. I've tried to make the trip twice this year, and have been stopped by bad weather, but it looks good for the third launch...

Morning, it's a great day to hang out at work, collect overtime and catch up on TW

 

Oh nice! Just got done running some errands. Wife is cleaning up around the house.

I just put my new registration sticker on.

Going to see my cousin and their new baby later on this afternoon.

 

Thinking about taking off next Saturday, the Hill Country Brewery Tour sounds like a fun way to use a "sick" day.

I got a warning last year, with an attachment of all the clearly non-work sites I visited that day.

 

That is where being the "IT Guy" helps... there ARE no logs of non work sites

 

And....... personal laptop with cell phone wifi.

 

How many Austin TW members are going on the brewery run?

I will bring the wok if we want to combine resources for meals, looks like we will be able to cook Saturday dinner (late?) and Sunday breakfast.

 

We are going but I don't think we will be camping that night.

Got my first IV in the field yesterday. Also got to hit ‘em with some Narcan while I was at it.

 

Just got home from the first 2 segments of the "Enchanted Rockies Trail" http://www.lifestyleoverland.com/enchanted-rockies-trail/ it was awesome! Would have stayed a few more days and done more but need to travel for work on Monday.

I highly recommend the route this guy mapped out. It gives you some high speed forest roads and also some really bump slow ass going rocky crap that will borderline give you shaken baby syndrome. Lessons learned on my part are not disabling traction control... I went around a corner doing ~65 and didn't have any traction to avoid driving over a small tree and bolder. Luckily on sacrificial skid plate damage and some scratches. My buddy in the jeep broke a sway bar link and bent the tab that it mounts to on his axle so we ended up just pulling it off on the trail.
