While those are an upgrade from stock, even TRD stuff, you could get larger diameter, rebuildable shocks for a bit more spending. You probably want to get at least a 3 leaf add-a-leaf as well. Wheeler's Offroad has the cheapest 3 leaf aal I've seen.

So far, so good. They ride better than my RC spacer lift I had on it

My bad. I'd still rather spend a little more and get 2.5" diameter shock bodies from King / Fox / Icon.

I won't disagree but your only getting coilovers for just a little bit more money.

FWIW I think the the BOSS rear shocks are a bit better than the OME I had. But it could also be the longer shackles that made things feel smoother.

I wouldn't mess with a single aal on a truck that's 10+ years old. I'd probably go about it in stages based on greatest need first. Adjustable coilovers (whatever is the person's best option) in the front first make it nice because someone can add a 3 leaf add-a-leaf or better, full leaf pack in the rear and matching shocks after saving up some and match the ride height if desired throughout the process.

the new ones are made by radflo according to a toytec rep. 2.5" bodies are overkill for stock suspension travel really. the extra oil capacity/cooling will probably never really be needed. the reservoirs make up for alot anyways.

Fair enough. I guess it depends on where you live - 110* day in the desert will roast some oil. If it were my money I'd hold out for some kings at $1k.

Makes sense to me. I haven't noticed any shock fading from the OME I've been using for 60k. I'm not bajaing my truck though. I've always wondered if resi's are even necessary for 95% of what people do on here. I just want something that soaks up the bigger hits better.

Yikes, they have radflo making them, possibly the only company worse than FOA haha. Well I suppose they would be the lowest bidder.

    I've only heard bad things.

FWIW, Boss 2.0's are Eibach pro truck shocks (on par with 5100s) and the 2.5s are Radflo. There's better options for the money if you're looking at either IMO.

Nothing crazy but sure beats the duct tape that was there. For a cheap seat cover these fit pretty snug (the tightened up the bottom after taking the pic)
