Why are you doing 80 in an offroad truck?

    Serious question.

If he's running any sort of offroad tire at 80, he's a fucking menace.

Does it vibrate under 80, is it possible you have a tire out of balance or flat spotted?

Is it the steering wheel shaking or the truck shaking?

I've been the FL, not everybody drives at 80. If you need to you bought the wrong vehicle.

Been to Cali too, just because everyone else is doing 75-80 doesn't mean it's smart to do it in an offroad truck. Read the speed rating on offroad tires and understand how high speed effects them over time then get back to me.

lol. It’s 80 MPH. We’re not talking about a jacked up off road with huge ass tires.. He said it was a stock off-road Tacoma.. It’s not smart for some people to drive 70 MPH even tho it’s legal... o_O

If you have the factory tires, then you essentially have van tires. Not the best for off road (wow, that was kind...they suck) but good for street uses and the highway. I just put on Bridgestone AT Tires 265/75/16. They have a good bite for the dirt and are good on road. I did some research on them. I bought my tires with my driving in mind. A set of 33's would kill my gas mileage and ruin the tires for off road.
As for a vibe at 80 MPH. I feel it around 80 to 85 on the freeway. It got better after the new tires but the rumble is louder. Tread I suspect.

Its a truck. If you want smooth and sleek buy a caddy. I much prefer the beast I bought.

The suspension and tires on a Sport are not the same as the offroad, the Sport also has a wind damn under the bumper that the OR doesn't have.

A Sport driver to say an OR feels the same at 80 has no idea how those differences will affect the truck

lol Ok, for a moment I’ll pretent like I’m you. You do realize you drive a 13 year old truck right? Your entire discussion pertaining to a new off-road vehicle and how it will handle on the freeway is completely irrelevant..

I do 80 all the time and have no vibration issues whatsoever. Have ko2s as well and no problem here. Have 10k on the truck so far. Are you tires set to the proper pressure? Maybe you have an uneven tire??
