I have not driven an OR, but I would think they ride different.

Better drop that mic and take the head start, cause you know your going to see that Scewp coming fast in your rear view, but please stay on road, cause we all know sports or not capable to go off pavement.

I never said the truck would vibrate at 80mph, I said the OP shouldn't do 80 regularly in a truck with OR tires on it. Could be a handful in an emergency.

He never did come back and say whether it was the truck or the steering wheel where he felt the vibes.

You said it's no problem for an offroad truck to do 80... that's what I said the problem is. 80 in an OR is not going to be the same as 80 in a Sport, different suspension, different aerodynamics, different tires. You have honestly no idea based on your experience provided here.

Maybe Toyota should install some warning stickers. It has stopped several lawsuits in my 2017 Off Road.

The Blistein Shocks on a Off Road can cause dangerous vibrations on dirt and rocks.

Sorry, Sports ain't equipped, but the Scoop is a panty dropper at the mall.

First off, only like 2% of Tacoma owners buy their truck for off-roading. Second, I see tacos on the interstate everyday going 80+. The truck is made to be an everyday driver, regardless of the trim. The DCSB, which practically everyone drives is basically a family car that white dudes feel cool in (myself included!). The stock OR tires are aggressive Road tires, and that's being generous.

To the OP, your truck should not be vibrating. I go 75/80 everyday. Bring your truck to the shop.

I owned two 4x4’s prior to my Tacoma. I’m no expert nor claiming to be one. Yes the OR has a different set up, that’s obviously. Yes, I would agree 80 in a sport is safer than an off road etc.. I was just saying 80 mph here in Cali is the norm for most traffic.

I agree but every driver should understand that not every vehicle on the road is safe at the speed limit, more so if you modify it with a higher center of gravity, more weight like bumpers, armor, bed or roof racks or a more agressive tire that might be suitable for dirt but complete shit on the road or the wet.

If the OP has vibration at 80, check the tires, wheels, suspension and road conditions... and most of all, don't keep doing 80.

I beg to differ on the 2%. But I do totally agree the stock OR is a good blend of Off Roar capability and a joy as a daily driver. There are differences in the trims on the suspension tires and off road tech.

I get groceries in my DCSB...and do some serious off roading. Stock... The grill does add 10 HP

If it's not 2% it ain't much more. I go on dirt roads all the time..some even tough.....but so do Subarus.

Very few people actually do serious Off Roading. It's a small percentage even here on TW and a fraction of the market in the real world.
