Had a flat today. Discovered that the tire tool supplied with the truck did not fit the TRD lug nuts, not happy. Lucky I was in town and had road service close (little embarrassing to have to call for tire change). Any way, truck is 2011 TRD OR that I bought new (bought it right after they unloaded off of the transport so no-one switched it). Normally use impact in shop for lug nuts. The supplied tire tool is 13/16 rather than 7/8. A breakover bar and deep socket have now been added under the seat. You would have thought they could have gotten this simple thing right, never had this problem before with the many new vehicles I have had. Will check from now on, better check yours if you haven't.

Even the guys at Toyota keep a 21mm and 22mm there to rotate the tires because they vary in size. The guy told me that himself.

Correct, not all 21mm are the same.... I found that out as well when I was buying a torque wrench for the lugs

They have been known to swell due to corrosion under the chrome plating.

Wasn't impressed when the wife used her onstar back when we had gm. Only used them cause it was below 0. It was at least a 2 hr wait, guy didn't have a clue and had a hard time moving around due to his weight. After a few scratches I took over and changed the tire.

Waited May be 10-15 min and that was also a flatbed request , the longest I've ever had to wait was maybe 30min

I also have worked for Auto Club about 20 yrs ago so i know how their dispatch system and how ICS works

Auto club works on a normal 20 min call quote when call volumes are slow . The moment an ICS gets bogged down on call volumes they can request additional time up to max of 45 min

During the normal volume quote or 20 min it takes up to 5-10 min from member calling until a ICS is dispatched . That leaves only 10 min for a ICS to get on scene before he or the ICS receives a negative on their call log

Back when I was a Auto Club driver we would get expedite calls which meant we needed to get there in under 10 min . If a member called for service and was in a unsafe area , blocking traffic , kids in car or foul weather we had to rush for these

Thats the beauty of these little compressors. If the tire is a slow leak that is. Just fill it up and head to the tire repairman and let him take the tire off and fix it. If you own one of these little compressors there's a good chance you will never have to get your hands dirty during a flat tire situation.

If I was a woman or really old I would also consider having someone else change my tire for me. But I have a penis and I'm only 62 years old.

LOL, Well I'm 65 and I would prefer someone else to change my tire instead of squatting on the side of the highway with my penis in the dirt trying to get my lug nuts off while praying a drunk doesn't cream me. It's call common sense, some have it, some don't.

Exactly..... some dudes just need to realize their a man. No one should be coming to rescue a man due to a flat tire.

    Women can change a tire.

The women I know would not only be able to change their truck tire, but their fully loaded trailer tire and then beat the shit out of you with the lug wrench.

I prefer my women to be a bit less like a man...

But if that is what floats your boat... Does her penis drag in the dirt too?

    :D:rofl:

    ^ ........... This !!!!

I've responded to some nasty accidents on the shoulder or gore points of congested freeways were cars have sideswiped the stranded cars

I would rather have a tow truck blocking my car with its emergency lights on letting traffic know there is emergency road side service being performed

Ever tried to change a l/rear inside flat on a dually of a motor home while straddling the lane divider or fog line with traffic flying by at 75mph ????
