It would save me from using a set of lights as cargo lights and side lights

 

Still subbed for the camper shell/topper brake lights.. even though it's a long shot! also could be interested in one for 2nd gen double cab/access cab

Where you getting the clear lens from?

 

I haven't touched this project for a while. I have done away with the vinyl smoke tint and now using pro grade lens tint with clear coat on all my light parts. I will revise this mod soon..and plan to use an OEM Toyota back with an aftermarket clear lens. Only problem is the only one I know of is "klearz" and they have a diffused pattern(no 100% clear) so no sure how the light projection will be through it. Worth a shot..

It's an aftermarket housing I just ripped the guts out and used the lens

Would be nice if no tonneau. Now all it'd do is light up the top of it. I don't do enough of anything with cover off to need this now. Got the Tundra bed lights that light up the "trunk" with cover on or off. Bitchin product tho and GLWS..................I do like the clear/black setup too. That's what I changed my 3rd brake light to, just no cargo light option.

 

Very interested for my 2008. This is better than the idea that I've been working on.

 

Sold mine to @bradforj and he swapped it into an OEM housing running the Klearz lens. I had too many projects and not enough time. Maybe he can post up some pics.

 

Here it is on the truck. I am waiting on a switch for my dash to control the bed lights, so they are not wired in yet. Once it's all got juice, I'll post some shots of it in action.

That aint half bad for only 2 LED panels and a diffused lens!
Lighting pictures can be deceiving and hard to capture the real output. How well do you think they illuminate the bed? How about coverage (front to back, side to side)
