Any one have stock uppers/lowers laying around that they want to get rid of?

 

Anybody in the Nashville area have the Carista OBD2 adapter/app that would let me customize a couple settings in my truck? Figured I would check here before ordering one off Amazon

 

What type settings are you looking to change?

 

I want to turn my DRL's off (which will make my switchbacks work as they were intended to) and adjust the lane change setting from 3 blinks to 5. The lane change thing isn't a huge deal but if I'm already in the settings I will do it.

I've been told you can do the DRL on/off through the entune head unit but of course they strip that feature on the SR's.

 

If you can hold of on pulling the trigger on Amazon til I talk with my shop foreman Monday. He'd probably just do it for you if it's possible and you don't mind driving to Gallatin.

 

That shouldn't be a problem! I live close to 109 in Lebanon and go to lock 4 to ride my bike often. I appreciate it, just let me know!

 

Cool...question...what happens when you rotate your switch to DRL off?

 

If I'm understanding your question right once the DRL function is disabled in the computer the DRL click on the light stalk wont do anything. 3rd gen. SR trim DRLs have a dual filament bulb that use the high watt filament for the DRLs; when replaced with switchbacks it will only run Amber until the headlights are on. (The amber is the higher wattage of the two circuits). But once the computer doesn't see DRL as an option the switchback bulbs will stay white until the turn signals are activated.

Worked in the yard most of the day. Maybe finish waxing the truck tomorrow.

 

New bed lights! Wires routed through the bed. And i stuck a usb socket in place of the cigarette lighter (kind of a bitch... had to pull the bottom half of the dash apart to get it out).
Now enjoying an anniversary dinner with Mrs 11TRDTX.

Now that I know my truck's limitations and where to focus my attention, it won't be stock much longer. Springs, mid tires, and a rear locker are top of the list. Hopefully 2 out of 3 will happen before AOP
