I was running some wires for my bed lights when i noticed this plug in ths wiring harness in the druverside footwell. Does anyone know what it is? It is a 2 wire plig with a yellow and blue wire. It was super hard to get pictures but if i need to i will try again. I am assuming it is for some sort of diagnostic equipment or something. I know its not an OBD. Judging off the fact that its unplugged, and has been for lord knows how long, and the truck has ran fine. I wpuld guess its not super important but I would like to know.

    Thanks

does your truck have the towing package? If so complete shot in the dark guess, maybe it's a plug for an aftermarket electric brake? I'm probably wrong but first thing that came to my head :help:

    UPDATE:
I googled how to install an electric brake on a tacoma and it had my 2016 tacoma and the page stated that since it had the factory towing package it indeed had a plug and it looks to be in the same location as the wire in question pertaining to yours! Here's a photo of the location of mine.

Sounds about right, its been a while since i plugged mine in. But it was in the general area and wasnt all that hard to get to. Thatd be my guess.

My truck does have the towing package, that would make a lot of sense
