Not usually a big fan of the orange, but damn, something just looks real right about this rig. Sick build man!

Damn! Thank you. I think it needs the black. I see the inferno sports around that are all color matched, and I'm not a fan.

I want to run the same suspension set up you have. Would you change anything now that you've had it for a while?

I would just say if you don't plan to ever have any weight in the back, get the regular Dakar leaf pack. Like others have said, there's a noticeable roughness with an empty bed. I keep weight back there and all is well. Other than that, I'd say go for it. I'm still really happy with it all.

Perfect setup! Exactly what I'm going for. Any reason you chose dakar over deaver?

    Thank you!

I wanted to buy from @HeadStrong Off-Road since they have such a great rep. They didn't have the Deaver when I ordered as far as I know. Plus, I've read plenty of good things from other members with the Dakar. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either.

Good enough reason lol I have to do more digging on the heavy duty and light duty. The heaviest thing that would be in the back would be a motorcycle and it wouldn't be there very often.

I would say go light duty then. Just my opinion but I'm about five months in and I feel confident saying. At.

Also, I figured I could always remove a couple leafs if I wasn't happy. I thought that was a nice option.

The light duty springs are still waaaaaay better than stock. Best money I ever spent on my Tacoma. If you're not loaded down 100% of the time I wouldn't get the HD ones.

Thinking about hitting Bridgeport next Sunday if you're interested. Gonna do a shakedown run on the new suspension to get everything dialed in and figure out what I need to do for bumpstops.

Right on man. I have two other guys interested as well. It's my first weekend off in a while so I'm hoping I can make it out there. Spending all day Saturday with the girlfriend so maybe she won't complain too much when I want to wheel Sunday lol.

Phew, many of us have been right there with ya! Thank goodness for trucks  And yours is looking insanely nice!

Have you thought about alternatives to RTT? At maybe $400-500 for a solid ground tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag, it is a much more affordable option than the RTT route. Plus your big companion can be in the tent with you. (My pup topped out at 65lbs, and the only way to get him into an RTT is via fireman's carry and that would get old real quick). Just ballparking here... $1500 for an RTT, and $500 for a bed rack...

It gets pricey real quick like you said. Sure ground tents aren't as sexy or as popular as RTTs right now, but they're much more versatile, cheaper, and more compact.

    Just playing devil's advocate!
