Saw a 3rd gen MGM today on Fair Oaks in Sunnyvale that had what looked like TRD wheels, custom TRD logos w/red and red vinyl letters on the tailgate - that anyone here? I was in a white 3rd Gen TRD OR.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
So had the wife drop my truck off at Toyota Friday for my 25k service. Got a call yesterday from the service dept asking me if I can bring my truck back in because somehow they made a mistake never changed my oil. Are you fucken kidding me? How the fuck does this even happen? They even put a sticker on my windshield! :facepalm:I usually mark one of the tires to make sure they got rotated but forgot to this time. Woundering if that even got done

How do they know it wasn't done? Did you look at the filter to see if it wasn't changed?

They called and told me it wasn’t done. I don’t know how they realized it. Haven’t even opened the hood yet. Worked till 5 yesterday then went to my buddies bday party and recovering from a vicious hangover today.

Prolly noticed parts sold to RO weren't used. Or maybe never sold (but you paid for them).

I don’t know how that all works I’ve got the 75k service Plan. Had them throw it in when I bought the truck.

They did the same thing to @Lee_533

I just had them do my 30k oil change as I needed it done before my trip to socal. Get home and did a quick over as my wife had taken it in. When I crawl under I notice oil all over the skid I was like wtf? So I popped the hood and find the air box cover removed and floppig around ( told them I had replaced it and not to check it). Then I find a quart of oil under my filter catch pan still sitting in the truck nearly full which is what had spilt oil all over the front of my engine, my belt, and my skid plates.

Called the service manager absolutely raging. Told him this is why people don't trust dealerships and it's straight shit for service. He Told me to bring it back and they would clean it. I laughed and told him they aren't touching my truck ever again and the damage is done there is no quick cleaning of all that oil. He was super apologetic and said he would go talk to the guy who serviced my truck as they all know my truck when it comes in. They also had fucked around with my switches inside I'm guessing checking out my lights and what not. So pissed still angry about it just typing this out lol

Yeah I would be livid with that one.
Just glad they called me cuz I would’ve never known about it and would’ve gone 10k on one oil change.

Yeah, after I get my swingout done, no one is touching my truck for a while. Over-tightened hardware, grease on the inner door handle & steering wheel, metal shavings all over the camper interior... it's the little things that make a big difference and drive me crazy.

We obviously put a shit ton of money and effort into our trucks. It's mind blowing that some people don't connect the dots and treat our rigs better. Checking torque specs, 1 minute with some spray cleaner, and 2 minutes with a shop vac would have made a huge difference.

Actually, after the swingout, @Bentrodder has a little bit of work on the truck. I don't mind his grubby mitts all over my rig though...

I go 12k between oil changes.

Still frustrating they don’t do what they’re paid however. And after working in parts I easily can see how dealerships get a bad wrap and how stupid some techs really are. It’s scary.

I have the same setup and love it. The ball powders feed perfectly but you have to watch the long cut extruded powders. If it's an option try to get the short cut extruded powders they feed a little better.

Using IMR 4895. Feeds fine. Damn, it is so easy to use. So much simpler. The only thing slowing me down is the single round press.

I’m a ferm believer that if you change your oil every 4K it’ll last forever.
Got 340k out of my 89 (22re) and had 200k on my second motor when I sold it and it was still running strong. Changed oil every 3500 miles. And that was towing shit that the truck was never designed to tow.
