Love the truck! I've been having some trouble finding how to do the uni air pump filter mod. Any links to a step by step?

Thanks @ConnorO, you basically pop off the cover and remove the torx screw in the center, pry the upper half off and remove the factory foam filter. Put the upper half back on and take off the cap where the uni filter needs to go, then slide on the uni filter and tighten it down

Did some major deep cleaning today

Clay barred it a second time and gave it a good through hand wax, going to buy an orbital polisher and hit it with another coat of wax.

And installed the oem door edge guards I had sitting around!

Cut out the middle man and called Dana with the part number off the sticker on my driveshaft. Got the part numbers for the carrier bearing and u-joint. Trying to get the truck 100% before Trail Rehab in Calico next weekend

Probably the hardest thing I've changed on the truck to date. Fixed 99% of the vibration, going to change the front and rear U-joints next!

Got it thanks! Only thing that was odd was that my truck doesn't have the plastic cover but I'm not going to sweat it

I don't think they put them in til 2013 or so. But you can order them for like 30 bucks if you think it's worth it.

Had a blast in calico with everyone for Toyota Fest Trail Rehab Days! Just waiting for my sliders and new lift to do some harder trails, but the truck did great.

I think you can go down to about 40-42 on the falkens. (This is dependent on your rear axle weight. I just spitballed 3500 rear axle weight and got about 42 psi.) They have a max weight of ~3400@80psi right?

How do you like the ride on the E tires? I want to get the same tires (at3w) but I don't want to regret my decision after a long road trip. Was also considering the P tires since they have plenty of load capacity.

It was a huge turnout for it being the 1st year, try and make it out next year!

My wildpeaks are rated sl not e. Ive heard the e rated tires are a lot heavier, but I've had nothing but great things to say about my experiences with my tires so far! I'm planning on putting some chalk across the thread and adjust the tire pressure until it wears evenly. Right now only the middle is wearing and one inch on each side of the tire isn't even contacting the road because the pressure is so high.

That makes sense. Sounded like the other guy (@Mongoose18) had the E rated tires on his truck. What pressure are you running your tires at?

I have the E rated tires and so far I have no complaints about them. I went with the E rated because I got them through a buddy of mine and for some reason he was able to get me a better deal on those. I was told to keep them around 50 psi which seems high to me. I haven't done a chalk test yet to see the wear. Once I get around to that, I'm sure I'll end up going lower. As far as for a long road trip, so far I've really only done city driving with them to and from work and school, and the most off roading they've gotten has been on the beach. Overall, I'm very happy with them and for an aggressive all terrain, they have very little road noise. I was used to driving my dad's Tacoma with KO2's while looking to buy mine and prefer the ride of the Falkens. Hope this helps.
