Have you got it figured out enough to install an ARB locker?

Dom dom dom... I hope. Lol

Joking, it's fairly easy with correct tools.

Most of this is done with truck on jack stands. So anyone can do it really. Just make sure you have a 2nd ride. I mainly work on it a few hours here and there.

The back I'm waiting on new KOYO bearings from ECGS.

I would say stuff like this is something everyone should do themself and here's why.

A shop isn't going to care or be as peculiar as you are with your own stuff.

We're abusing the trucks silly to think a shop should warranty anything after it rolls out the shop.

I mean it could be as simple as them not cleaning as well, leaving rear axle in tube sitting on axle seals (leak within few thousand miles), oil levels not being correct. So on and so forth.

So for 1000+ at 4wp to install with me just bringing them truck to the knowledge and tools I have acquired for way less.

I'm happy I decided to do this. First ARB install.

Wish I lived closer to you guys around bham and such. It's nice just to have someone to blow smoke with while working on stuff.

Man it’s insane how much money you can save doing your own stuff, I’ll be installing my snorkel with @nagorb and saving $600 in the process

I could buy a lot of nice tools that will last me rest of my life by doing my own work..

    I gotta decent collection now.

I need to start rebuying some tools just to have in an off-road bag.

Clanton is not that far. I'm in Pelham. The only reason I don't make it to mod days is because they always are on a weekend around the same time I'm taking a trip.

Well it didn't cost me near that, and you're lumping all shops into the same. I have 2 mechanic shops I now trust, the one I've always used in Arab and the shop that installed my locker in Moab. They both do fantastic work for good prices. Shops don't have to warranty but any decent shop is going to take care of you if something goes wrong with their work. Just my .02.
