Been watching this thread for a minute. I have a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM2s waiting to go on in 255/85r16, along with some beadlock steelies on order. Ill let you guys know how the fitment is with some lower offset wheels, as mine are -19mm or 3.25" backspacing in order to clear a dual shock setup when I can afford it . I expect minor trimming but with my 2.5" lift maybe I will be surprised? One can hope!

Most of the people who have tried aftermarket wheels have had to do some work, but you could luck out. Here's hoping!

Yeah I expect I may have to heat gun the front fender liner and possibly even trim the bumper. Hoping I don't have to do a CMC though that would kinda be a bitch rn

I have just read this entire thread, great info. I am going with BFG 255 85 16, one post mentioned " I see you have sliders, that weight may contribute to you rubbing" I have CBI sliders, will this effect anything? Staying with the stock OR wheels.

    Thanks

Depends on what your ride height is with the weight when its all settled. If the sliders are being added later and you already have the lift and its settled in, you may want to consider a small lift wherever you think it might sag the most or have the most chance to rub.

On the other hand, if you already have everything installed and youre riding around at the correct lift height for the tires you want to run then you have nothing to worry about. Its only if the sliders/any extra weight is going to force your suspension parts to sag while youre cruising around.

You'll be alright. Total sliders will be ~130 lbs but that's distributed pretty evenly right in the middle of the truck. It's not going to cause any sag. Shit, with my 200 lb bumper/winch combo plus steel skids, I dropped maybe 3/4" and that's with all that weight hanging off the front.

That was only brought up because sandy had issues with rubbing on his mudflaps when he added a bunch of weight. Once he took the flaps off, the problem disappeared. So I'd say if you don't have flaps, you'll be fine for sure. If you do, you may have to bend/remove the front ones

Thanks. I do have the mudflaps that were installed when I bought it, however if they weren't already there I would not have added them. No problem getting rid of them to have decent tires.............

blackwall. IMO white letter out looks good on dark trucks, or a white truck with dark wheels.

Thanks. It's surprisingly not that bad to keep the letters on my tires clean. I just hit them with a brush whenever I wash it and they're back to white. I guess they may get harder to keep clean with age.
