Hello everyone, I have a 3rd gen tacoma with an Icon stage 3 lift, also did the cmc. There's a nasty squeak/ creaking noise when turning the wheel in reverse, or when I get into the truck. (The sound is coming from the passenger side of the truck) I've tried cleaning the uniballs, also lubed them with triflow and the sound is still there. The sound is more apparent when I'm reversing into a parking spot or driving really slow through a bumpy road. Thanks for any advice that you guys can give.

It's either the uniballs or the bushings on the ucas. Either way expect them to make sounds forever and watch that ball. They loosen up fast. Brothers icons failed within two years. He is swapping to there Delta ball joints and hoping they last longer.

Also could be your front body mounts. I had the same issue with the sound and traced it down to that. Toyota front mounts are known to fail. I swapped mine out at 7k miles and it was rubbing metal to metal.

When I installed my icons, the fronts squeaked a bit at first. In my case, it was the seal/shaft. I wiped a little light lube on those and the problem went away almost immediately. It would return after a carwash, so I need to hit them for a few weeks until the noise subsided altogether.

Thanks, one of my friends said the same thing. Not too familiar with body mounts but are they a relatively easy fix?
