Sitting here watching a fawn. She came in and laid down 40 yards from me. She saw me try to get some pics of video of her. Stood up, jumped off. Then less than 2 minutes later she came back over the hill and stared at me. Slowly walked off. She walked around the hill, came in below me, fed wirhin 10 yards, walked back to where she laid down earlier, and just laid back down. Not sure what happened to her momma, but she’s too small to be alone. Probably gonna end up food for the coyote that’s been staying in my camera in here.

did it have spots? Someone might have popped the momma or she got hit by a car if you are close to traffic. If it doesnt have spots it prob will make it.

She still has them. Trying to come out of them, but they’re still there.

She doesn’t leave that area at all apparently. I saw her Tuesday morning, too.

Really need to get out in the woods and get setup! Wheeling and life has gotten in the way

Side note; love how manufacturers claim that wildlife can't see the cameras. Don't worry about this picture of deer looking straight into the shutter

For $15 less than $75, you can get Bushnell PowerView binos. Had mine for 2 seasons, served me well

How well did the .38 do? I finished a doe off with a .32 long but it was point blank behind the ear. I plan on buatin one with a .357 if it gets in range this year

Awesome i shot that doe with a charter arms target patriot in .327 mag but i had slipped those .32 longs in cuz i figured they would be enough for a head shot (i spine shot her initially with a .243 btw) i like it and it has a 4" barrel so it shoots pretty good for a j frame and gets the most out of them hot rounds, but when i got my .357 the .327 became my wife's purse gun and i carry the .357 everywhere but the shower now

so far its been hit and miss. The bear burger and backstraps are good. The roast was ok but not great, it may have been the recipe. Ive also had pastries made from rendered fat and its really good.

Dang. That first pic makes that deer look young, or is it just me?

We are in foothills of hill country, so the deer generally have smaller bodies. I would say 3 1/2 years old.

maybe his head just looks small cuz dem antlers is huge.

but his chest looks kinda small too and not saggy like an old deer would, also older deer have a hard time bending their back legs and it makes em walk kinda funny but in the pic where he is piled up, it looks like his legs are working just fine
