Yes that's probably true. I also think Alabama is ranked 3 or 4 spots higher than they deserve. They haven't faced anybody yet.

 

Right... Im not sayin we are the best but a healthy fsu win was pretty impressive and shutting out a 3-0 vandy (with 2nd and 3rd string most of the 2nd half) at least shows some depth talent and good decision making... Neither of those teams (when we played them, since they are now pretty injury stricken) were what i would call "nobodies"

 

They looked good against us for sure! Keep in mind that MS State is one-dimensional, and Georgia shut down any running! It's always been a mystery why we can't recruit receivers...Good luck Georgia!

LSU just had an off night, I wouldn't smack talk too much(not that you are). We're definitely not 30pts better than LSU. Keep in mind LSU has the best/highest ranked two coordinators in college football.

What's y'alls opinion on Auburn, our next opponent?

 

Clemson is the reigning champs and I think they have played a tougher schedule. I would put Penn state second, oklahoma 3rd and maybe then Alabama. Alabama as usual is one of the premeir teams but their name alone has a lot of clout.

 

Like i said i have no problem not being number 1 because i dont think we are there yet, but hurts' arm is looking better and our o line finally showed up this week. But i was mostly addressing you sayin that fsu and vandy wasnt anyone... Its not like we have been playing troy or someone every week haha

 

Everyone keeps saying how good they are...I just don’t see it. The only team they’ve really looked good against is Missouri. But...everyone looks good against Missouri this year.

 

didn't the fsu qb get hurt early on? fsu is not even in the top 10 I don't know how good vandy is I see they beat k st. but vandy generally is a bottom feeder. These shedules for the alabamas and ohio states are funny. Schedule a hard game out of the gate if you win you coast for about 4 or 5 weeks with tune ups for the harder conference play.

LSU didn't have an off night....they are struggling on depth. Off season saw 9 linemen transfer and after the msu game only had 4 healthy defensive linemen. It's gonna be a rough year in the sec for them

The team that wins the national championship should be #1 until someone beats them! I'm tired of college football letting voters decide which team is better! Let's play the games. Expand the dog-on playoffs to include top 16-20 teams, maybe even 24. Some teams peak later and have 2-3 losses. No other sport uses this archaic bull-crap system to determine their rankings. I guarantee, history would look much different if the national championships were decided on the football field.

Three teams ahead of Alabama, huh? Alright.

FSU's QB went down with 5:41 to play in the game. The score was 24-7 at the time. Each team had one more possession after he went out, but neither team scored again.

Alabama plays a big name week one, then a couple of cupcakes, then the SEC schedule starts. It's not a 4 or 5 week gap. SEC play started this week. There's nothing Alabama can do about the SEC schedule. Vandy was 3-0 heading into the game, but it's Vandy. We have Ole Miss, @ TAMU, Arky and Tennessee the next four weeks. I won't argue that some of those aren't gimme games, but they're conference games, so I'm not sure what you want Alabama (or any other team) to do about it.

Saban wants the SEC to move to 9 conference games. I agree. Until then, the non-conference schedule for every SEC team (not just UA) will be filled with one big-name opponent, and three doormats.

 

Our Defense is great. Our D-line and Linebackers are some of the best in the conference, our defense backfield hasnt really been too impressive to me and seems to be our weak point. Overall a solid unit.

Our offense has been very suspect. The talent is there and if we can get it all together we could easily be a playoff team, but as long as Gus is here our play calling will lose us some games.

I am not sure what your definition of "good" is but you may be blind if you dont think that holding the defending national champs to only 14 points and only 281 yards of total offense as good then idk what is.

I could see Auburn winning out going up to the Iron Bowl. I dont see us winning that one but one can hope
