What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

When you put on the 3rd gen shocks did you put on AAL's on or just the shocks?

That's what I was thinking. Those things look massive.

 

I wanted to protect my seats before they get all fubar, so I got some Coverking Neosupreme's for the front. Someday when I have a few extra $100 bills laying around I'll try the Clazzio's.




Also installed some blacked out Amazon tail lights. I got some LED turn signals too but the project hit a wall when I realized I need load resistors to stop the hyperflash. Maybe someday I'll get those put in.




Winter's almost here so the truck projects will be ending soon. That sucks!

I have the same tail lights and I love them. Good choice sir!

 

I got a coupon from Auto Anything, probably was $140 for the fronts. I think the back bench is close to the same price. So far they fit nice, we'll see what they look like in a year.

3 years on mine and they are wearing pretty heavily. The seams on the driver seat are all starting to pull apart.

 

Better the seat cover than the seat! That area takes a lot of abuse over the years.

 

Correct. I need to contact them to see if they can replace them or repair them or pro-rate them or what's up.

 

Finally got my speedo and ODO back in line after 9 years thanks to the Hypertech speedo calibrator.

Here you can see the Hypertech module and interface circuit board tied down behind the instrument cluster


Programming the unit was simple. Download the software from Hypertech's website the input the stock tire size and gear ratio, then put in the aftermarket tire size and gear ratio and you're all set.
I programmed in 35" tires and 4.88 gears and the speedo is dead on.

Also the amount of dirt that collects behind the dash is disgusting

Does this also adjust the mileage on the odometer? Is there even a way to do that?
