I'll start by saying I went with the JBL upgrade because I like music, I enjoy a good sound system, and my previous 4Runner was equipped with it. I've had the truck since December (and love it) but so far I've had to set the equalizer three times. I listen to nothing but Sirius and rarely ever even change the input to anything else. I've noticed that music isn't sounding right, I go into the equalizer settings, and for some reason they're all reset back to the center. I'm aware that you can apparently set the equalizer to different settings for different inputs, but this is all happening when I'm listening to satellite radio. Battery has never been disconnected. Has anyone else had this problem or know if something I'm inadvertently doing is causing it?

Side note - my trial subscription ends today...anyone have any tips or tricks to get it cheaper than the $30 for 6 months promotion?

It's happened to my JBL system in my 2017 a few times. I am not sure if it's a voltage drop issue maybe if not driven for a long period of time maybe. No clue.

I've read a few members call up and say they want to cancel. The CSR will generally try to retain them as a customer by offering a lower rate. When they don't offer a low enough rate, you should cancel and wait. You will receive email or snail mail with offers to come back with a better rate. Again, this is just from what I've read of others on here.

Happened all the time on my unit as well. Took it to Toyota, they did a software update, still had the issue. Only affected XM settings. Seemed to happen about once a week or so.

I took mine in for a few reasons and this was one... They said no codes were thrown. It happens to mine all the time. once a week at least and more if I really kept track... Always resets the EQ no matter what mode Im in. So frustrating but at least it doesnt reset your pre saved stations. This has to be a software glitch if we all have this. I thought it was just me

I’m having same issue with EQ resetting...any update on changes or fixes?? I called Toyota and they said I’d have to bring it in to take a look. Didn’t seem to be aware of any specific updates or fixes.

Just ignore sirius' calls, emails, and letters for a few months and they'll offer it to you for dirt cheap. I told those annoying assholes to stop bugging me don't want Sirius, they don't listen

I bought mine just a few days ago and thought I was just crazy. But, reading your post, I have the same exact issue.

use Pandora or iheart radio and ditch Sirius because they are too expensive.

I am not sure if this is a 2017 issue, but my 2016 EQ settings have never reset. i think it stayed even when I changed the battery.

When you guys say EQ, you mean bass/mid/treble right? There is no true EQ is there?
