I'm amazed at the KBB and NADA values of my truck. Even with the high mileage, at the lowest end of their ratings, values start at $8,500 and higher...

 

just rolled 350,000

 

Auto or manual and v6 or i4?

EDIT: gen 1 or gen 2?

 

My 2008 is @ 310,000 ...

 

My '06 has 317,000 and KBB says it's still worth $10,000 out here in SoCal!

I paid $6500 (to my sister) and drove it from Little Rock last year averaging about 18mpg with 285s. Runs like a champ and rolled totally fine on the highway.

 

Couldn't pass up with those threesssss

 

Turned 320k today!

 

Just hit 150,000 miles

turned 180 k miles this weekend

 

I turned 322,000 last week on my 2008..

 

since some of you fellas are at high miles, what problem or fixes have you had to do? alternator, coil packs, oil leaks...etc? things other than routine maintenance. wondering what i could be looking forward to.

 

I am at 268000 miles have replaced front wheel bearings once, the usual front brakes, tires, the starter just recently. It has everything else is original including the chirping from the throw out bearing.

 

Out of place here but I have to mention my 1993, 4Runner...sold it to a neighbor kid with 478,000 miles. Best vehicle I have owned to date.

 

One thing is i have not seen many cases of oil leaks or oil burning on this forum. Or many transmission issues. Really only head gaskets with some 2005 and 2006s. Hoping to get another 10 years out of my 2010!

 

I consider coil packs a maint. item since they start loosing their energy after yrs and mileage. I'll be changing mine at the next plug change which is coming up I'm almost at 200k.

I replaced Hub bearings (wear item), rack and pinion seal busted leaking, frame (rust warranty). The timing chanin tensioner plate like to weap (no biggie I just keep an eye on it) also there is a TSB out about timing chain covers leaking in the earlier yrs. mine doesn't so I haven't looked that far into it not worried if it leaks I'll fix it.

Here is the deal besides the body and frame every moving and electrical part on the truck has a failure point from the seals to the bushings, it's all maintenance if you stay on top of replacing things before they die you'll be in good shape. But eventually stuff will leak, break, leave ya stranded shit happens.

 

I think I've seen you out on 440 before.
