20170923_183443.jpg 20170917_084404.jpg I have the S&B dry filter intake. Sure, the guys are right, but if you are coming from a 97' Acura CL 2.7 like I am and really want to feel like a boss on your nice new Taco, go for it! The butt Dyno will thank you. I have noticed a slight increase in MPG too. I added the $209 MBRP exhaust as well. My truck strikes fear in other 3rd gens when I pass. all for $509.

No, which is my next venture. I don't even know where to begin as far as having that done. Is it DIY, or is it something a shop has to do? In ENC I'm a little limited as far as legit shops. I will note, that other vids and research I've done have had some guys pop CELs with the CAI and exhaust mods. I was kinda worried about this, so far so good.

I will try my best, though from my XP with YouTube videos you never get the full effect.

I went from 22/23 stock avg. When I installed the tires I dropped to 16. I took a good long trip yesterday and stayed around 20. I can live with that.

You dropped from 22/23 to 16 mpg with a tire change? What size tires?

Buy the intake flow accelerator from the TRD intake and add a new air filter if you wish. I went this route and saved a bunch of money on my car insurance.

The S&B has basically the same accelerator, does the large end go inside the fender or does it just sit flush up against it under the hood?

Search online for dyno tests. It is proven that higher flow intakes increase HP.

It's really simple physics. When you make physical changes to the engine the engine will perform differently. I don't know why so may are determined to deny this.

You're right, it's possible that the 3rd gen tacoma defies physics. We won't know until it's tested.

What if the air intake is not the bottle neck? Ever think of that?
