    I wanted an MT.
I'm sure this has been kick around here and there... but I got rid of my 2014 Tacoma for a new 2016 F150 Lariat....

Bad decision... I really miss my Tacoma... I miss the nimble handling, being able to park most anywhere I like, I miss my Manual Transmission, I miss the capable feeling of my Tacoma, I made a bad mistake.

The only thing I love about the F150 is the Air Conditioned Seats... They are the best invention for a dude ever... Toyota needs to add this feature to the Tacoma...

I need to keep the truck for the next year for reasons... after that i'll have another Tacoma... by October 2018 i'll have another Tacoma.

I'll be back with a Tacoma soon! until then....

    5.0?

I'll trade straight across if 5.0, SCrew and 4x4.

    3.5 eco... plenty of power

As for the 3rd gen... I'll decide at the time... if a 4 th gen is short to follow.. maybe I'll wait till then...

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have a 2006 Tacoma and a 2014 F150 with the 5.0. I drive the Tacoma once a month or so. It has pretty much become my beach/hunting rig anymore. Other then being nimble and it's size for getting down small trails the F150 gets the win from me in everything. The 06 has been paid off so it's not going anywhere, but if I was to be in the market for another truck, another Tacoma is not in the cards.

A lot depends on why you own a truck.
I have always owned a truck as a tow vehicle, hauler, and carryall. My Tacoma didn't really work out well ,plastic bed, light weight, and not enough interior room for passengers.
New Silverado crewcab 4x4, shortbed does.

My wife's '14 4runner limited had air cooled seats. Was the best. I want to try and get a set into her '15 trail.

A few days before i ordered my Taco, i test drove a '15 F-150. Loved the power, spacious interior. Salesman was not very aggressive, his loss. Plus, the cab in 4X4 configuration would have been too high to go in my garage. Learned since would not have gotten very good mpg. Could have gotten a Corp discount due to working at H-D.

So why did you get the full size then? (Actual question I'm not being a S.A.)

I personally enjoy the full-size trucks. The Tacoma is nice day to day driving around and isn't as big, but it's equally a pain in the ass to park as a full-size (up until my Tacoma that's all I had). And I don't considering parking a truck a problem. I spend 1% or less of my time in my truck parking so I really don't care about it. But the Tacoma takes up a full parking spot too. I've spent $300 getting door dings taken out of my truck from people hitting it. I have a damaged front and rear bumper from people hitting me in parking lots.

So I still have to watch where I park as much with my DCLB as I did with my DC6FtB Ford F250.

Also the Ford F150s with the Turbos are a lot more responsive and enjoyable to drive than a Taco LOL. Especially when highway driving. The Taco sucks big time at high speeds on the hwy (over 65mph).

F150 will likely be my next truck, either that or the new ranger.

Sorry that your full size truck is bigger than your old mid size truck.

Sorry for the delay... I got the f-150 for travel mostly... I have a few cross country trips planned (I just got back from Maine with it), Taking to Newfoundland Canada Sept 2018... Taking it on a long loop out west spring 2018... so I needed a larger truck to haul all my hunting/fishing gear/camping/kayaks/etc, passenger, potentially 2 moose from Newfoundland (if we both tag out)... I actually found a 2012 4 banger Taco with low miles on it for a decent price... may buy me a beater/run around truck and have the best of both worlds...

The AC Seats are incredible... I think I mentioned that before, lol... Word to the wise... if you have never been in a vehicle with them on a hot summer day... don't do it.. you will never be the same.
