Yeah it will be a slight learning curve, but it will be a lot easier.

The drive up would probably cook my tranny something real good. So I won't be. Definitely motivation to get the re-gear. Lol if @Thyces is saying its not a good idea then that says something....lol

Also it looks like this poll bit me in the ass. still need two more votes.

it would be the other way. 4th gear at 1800rpm....really strains the motor and tranny. Currently at 110km/h I'm at about 1900-2100rpm. Trucks working a lot harder to get to speed. Then hills....need to drop it to 3rd or 4th to not strain stuff. Definitely need to be awake when driving it.

I think the really weird part to me will be the amount of flex it will have.

But I'm not changing tires so I'll need to watch the rear diff still.

nothing in the fronts? You may be okay, but your suspension may have a a lot more droop especially with the uniball UCA. I have the sway bar so I haven't really had issues in the front but I have extended lines all around

why, did you need new lines in the front as well?

I've never heard of needing new ones in the front unless doing full long travel.

I got new lines all around. With the extra lift you get, that also means your getting additional travel. I understood that lines were needed, but I didn't really research it, just assumed and everyone was doing plus there was a group buy and bam I got new lines all around lol.

looks like you will be fine based on the few threads I have quickly searched. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ke-lines-needed-with-2-2-5-front-lift.245281/

once that sway bar is off though....all bets are off :D.....

I personally have left mine on though:anonymous:. ITs a personal choice.

This that and the other thing.
I'm going to turn the back seat of my truck into a bed so I don't have to set up a tent to save space but I will have my tent just in case haha

ya I'm yet to see one kit that needs new brake lines unless its LT or no sway bar.

they always say rears but not fronts.
Time will tell I guess, from what I just read in that thread its only if your droop is too much.

really though I'm starting to think...

Where I was standing for this picture was on the rocks right on the lake, so only two that can comfortably camp there and not risk getting wet are eugene and peter.

Just to the driver rear side of my truck was a huge muddy puddle, and to the front driver was another one

    20170901_194038.jpg

This was where I camped behind that tree line on the left of the pic above. to the right of our chairs in the pic above was where Eugene told me Pete had his ground tent get soaked because of rain and its a lower elevation. Its also rocky as fuck in this area, even where my tent was I had a hard time getting stakes in the ground.

Any spots that did have soft ground were either lower lying muddy areas, or sloped and possibly had rocks sticking up like the pic below.
    20170901_194106.jpg

As much as I loved that spot, I really do not think its the right spot for 10+ rigs and tents. The trucks alone will take up all the space.

I know we have 5 votes for this spot and 3 don't care (I was don't care) but really don't see how we can do it all in that spot.

We'll either need to split it up OR just stay at the lake if we can get it.
When we were there, there was at least 3 pop up campers on the beach and another 5 trucks if not more. Even if we can't fit all the trucks we can have them close by and then have all the tents or whatever.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking I did. My bad.....:pccoffee:

I think where I was camped me, @Taco-Can and his son camped and I didn't get too wet on the ground. Just more from the crazy down pour. @Jake4848 buddy was saying they had 17 rigs there one time if I remember correctly.

I think its really going to come down to what spot we can get.....not to many vehicles want to venture to the one scenic spot....see how she goes.

I voted for the "scenic spot" but there's plenty of other spots around. I can't really be too picky because I'm going to be one of the last ones getting there on Friday.
