    For anybody curious.

    I found a solution to my squeaking. It's not beautiful, but it works. Took it for a test drive around the neighborhood and hit speed bumps and it keeps it from even hitting at all.

    So I added spacers (washers) to the front mounts of the prinsu on the camper shell as shown:

    It didn't completely get me off the front rack, but it got me barely touching so I added a small piece of Velcro, the soft side, to the portion that was touching:

    This gave me enough of a gap to remove all squeaking.

    How does the tent feel with just towers and cross bar? I think i am leaning towards this since spending 1000 on a prinsu for this kind of tent seems like a waste since there isent much storage space after the tent is installed .

    I don't know the answer but your right, after the tent is on the type of rack really doesn't matter unless your OCD and need to have a matching rack
