you're not the only one happen to me too, type in "fire HD 8 tablet 6th gen and it should come up

 

Just a heads up amazon tablets are set up different from normal android tablets. They are also set up for you to buy more stuff through Amazons "software" making it hard to do normal non amazon things

 

its all good I'm just going to use it to play on the web when i don't feel like using my laptop or small iPhone, for $38 theres not much i can lose haha some people are paying $20 for patches

 

I felt the same when I got their $30 tablet on prime day. Once I got in the console and removed some of their stuff its ok but I ended up giving it to my gf for netflix and spotify lol.

 

i highly doubt it but can you plug in a usb or hard drive to it?

 

Not sure but if you have a micro usb to usb adapter or a usb drive with a micro connector it might work. It does use a modified version of android but there are a lot of the same features in there.

 

You can unlock it and run kodi open software on it also. Has to be fire os 8 or above usually on tablets built 2015 & up.

 

If i can run Kodi on it then this is already a great ass purchase!!!

 

Yeah my wife's has kodi 16.1 jarvis. My HD8 isn't supported beyond Fire os 7.

 

well I don't know what this one would be. its the 6th gen so hopefully it can get os 8

 

Probably already preinstalled, I think you could just install es file explorer and do the root that way.
